Tricks for Treats
World Rabies Day - September 28th
Rabies is a preventable viral disease most often transmitted through the bite of a rabid animal. The rabies virus infects the brain and ultimately causes death. Rabies Vaccinations are legally required by the state of Texas for both dogs and cats by 4 months old. At the Pet Vaccination Clinic we have two options for rabies vaccinations (1 year rabies vaccine & 3 year rabies vaccine). Both come with a rabies tag and a rabies certificate.
What To Do When My Pet is Acting Strange
September is Animal Pain Awareness Month. Knowing the signs of discomfort can help you to identify issues early and prevent any further complications. To help spread awareness for the signs of animal pain, we’ll be discussing common symptoms of discomfort in pets, as well as giving an informational set of questions to help prepare for your visit with the veterinarian.
Dog Treats in Your Kitchen
Do you spell love F-O-O-D? Before you run to the pet store to stock up on treats for your pet, take a quick look in your refrigerator for some of these healthy, nutrient rich snacks. Unlike many dog biscuits and similar treats, these fruit and vegetable options are often lower in calories which can bridge the gap between spoiling your pet, and helping them maintain a healthy weight.
